Kannan is a physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience in neurological rehabilitation and community-based care. He earned his Bachelor of Community Health Sciences before completing his Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) at D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York 2005.

Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the United States, Kannan has extensive experience treating individuals with neurological and complex medical conditions, including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, concussion, vestibular disorders, and motor vehicle accident-related injuries. His clinical background includes seven years in a specialized neuro-rehabilitation hospital in Texas, where he worked with individuals recovering from spinal cord injuries, stroke, cardiac conditions, and other complex neurological diagnoses.

Since returning to Canada, Kannan has continued to work in acquired brain injury rehabilitation, supporting clients in community and outpatient settings while also serving in progressive leadership roles within the rehabilitation sector. He is passionate about helping individuals regain function, maximize independence, and achieve meaningful participation in their daily lives through evidence-informed, client-centred care.

Kannan is currently completing the requirements to obtain his Ontario physiotherapy licence and looks forward to bringing his extensive clinical experience and compassionate approach to clients at Advance Physiotherapy.
